Mardi Gras February 16, 2010

Mardi Gras was held in Kaudy Hall on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Parishioners came together ate together and made Mardi Gras masks. There were plenty of colorful hats and scarves and beads for everyone to get into the spirit of the evening.

After the meal was shared, moms, dads, grandparents, kids, teens and adults took up musical noise makers and the Alleluia flags that the elementary children had decorated in their Faith Formation Classes and paraded over to church singing the Alleluia! The parade sang, made noise and waved their Alleluia flags around the church.

The evening came to close as the large Alleluia banner and all the little Alleluia flags were buried in the trunk in the front of church. Everyone left in silence as they went to prepare for the raising of the Alleluia flag on Easter Sunday.
